As I’ve been building this podcast network, one thing I’ve had to learn about what podcast file hosting. My websites were getting hammered because I was hosting all the show files on my own personal web server. I needed to offload everything somewhere, so I chose Amazon S3.

But how do I keep track of these file downloads?

Enter s3stat.com. They were able to connect with Amazon S3 and make sense of all the data I was trying to weed through. So now S3stat, combines with Feedpress I’m able to get a pretty accurate number of podcast listens and downloads.

If you host a podcast and are looking for a pretty cheap option, then I’d suggest Amazon S3 paired with S3stats.com.
